SHIMI

SHIMI is a partnership. It belongs to its founders; we are the product and engineering team alongside them. It is the arrangement we now take on deliberately, with people who have a market but not a team.

The product is a booking surface for on-demand delivery across South Africa: quote instantly from a pickup and drop-off, add stops and per-stop contacts, pick a vehicle class, pay, and have the job dispatched to a driver. Multi-stop routes and mid-route collections are handled properly, because the real jobs are rarely one address to one address.

We built the whole stack around it: live pricing off configurable vehicle-class rates with regional premiums, phone OTP so a first-time customer never hits a signup wall, hosted card checkout, and automatic dispatch on payment. A background classifier reads the description of the load and suggests the right vehicle, with a manual pick always available when it isn't sure.

It runs in production every day, on real orders and real deliveries.
